There are many moments these days when I feel very misunderstood. I have always been a little quirky and not exactly a social butterfly, who excels in human interaction. Perhaps that is why I chose to stick with governmental accounting for my career. There are no interpretations necessary when it comes to data. Things are almost always black and white. I am one of the unlucky Endo Sisters who have been diagnosed with IBS. The first time I was diagnosed with it was many years prior to my Endometriosis diagnosis. IBS is often a misdiagnosis in women with Endo because both conditions present very similar symptoms. However, I suppose it is possible for a person to have both Endometriosis and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Continue reading
Today I had a doctor appointment. Since I started blogging, I haven’t posted much about our doctor appointments but I think I should start, as they are part of our chronic pain journey which is what this blog is really about. It wasn’t exactly the way that I had planned on spending my day off, but since Veteran’s Day is a holiday where mainly only government employees are off work and I’m desperately trying to miss as little work as possible, I decided to schedule an appointment today.
